TOWN OF CLINCHCO 

COUNCIL MEETING 

MINUTES OF MEETING ON 4/16/2020 

MEMBERS PRESENT: Mayor Jarvis Deel, Herbert Branham, Ruby Coleman, Stearl Branham 

MEMBER’S ABSENT:  Trevor Counts, Nathan Mullins, Vice Mayor Ralph Sutherland 

TOWN CLERK: Katrina Deel 

TOWN ATTORNEY:  Greg Baker (not present) 

Call to Order & Welcome by Mayor 

Mayor Jarvis Deel welcomed everyone and called the meeting to order and asked for a moment of silence.   

Approval of Minutes 

Mayor Jarvis Deel asked everyone to review the minutes, and if there were any questions over the minutes; no questions were asked.  Stearl Branham made a motion to approve the minutes; Ruby Coleman seconded the motion; a vote was taken and all members were in favor.  

Approval of Treasurers Reports 

Mayor Jarvis Deel asked for everyone to review the treasurers report, and you will see we opened a money market account, it is an interest-bearing account.  That is the money received from Savage.  Mayor Deel asked if there were any questions over the treasurers’ reports; no questions were asked; Herbert Branham made a motion to approve the General, Police Dept and Money Market Treasurers reports; Stearl Branham seconded the motion; a vote was taken and all members were in favor. 

Agenda: 

Mayor Deel asked for any additions to the agenda; no additions were made to the agenda; Stearl Branham made a motion to approve the agenda; Mayor Jarvis Deel seconded the motion; a vote was taken and all members were in favor.

New Business: 

Cumberland Plateau Planning District Commission Hazard Mitigation Plan: 

Mayor Jarvis Deel read the Resolution out loud: (see attached copy of resolution) 

Mayor Jarvis Deel asked at this time for a Roll Call Vote: 

Herbert Branham, Yes; Stearl Branham, Yes; Ruby Coleman, Yes; Jarvis Deel, Yes 

Metal Roof for Town Hall: 

Mayor Jarvis Deel asked for a motion to receive bids for putting a metal roof on the town hall.  Stearl Branham made a motion to accepts bids for the roof; Herbert Branham seconded the motion; a vote was taken and all members were in favor.

No council comments were added by council.
