ADOPTION TO THE ORDINANCES OF THE TOWN OF CLINCHCO

The Town Council hereby finds that in order to promote the health, safety and welfare of its citizens and in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and by authority of the Town Charter hereby passes the following as an Ordinance of the Town of Clinchco, Virginia:

BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDAINED that it shall be unlawful for any person, business or company or anyone to be inside or up on the side or top of any trash dumpster or receptacle located in the Town of Clinchco. Further, it shall be unlawful to remove any items from a trash receptacle or cause to be placed or place litter or place trash on the ground beside a trash dumpster or receptacle.

A violation of this Ordinance shall be a criminal offense and be punishable as a Class 4 misdemeanor, with a fine of not more than $250.00. A third, or subsequent offense shall be punished as a Class 3 misdemeanor, with a fine of not more than $500.00.
